Hi Florian, hello list!

Well, there are two things:

- embed the "device name" into network packets and use it in the collection
  directory (instead of dns name) would be a nice feature, because:
  at home i've running a WRT54G (embedded linux device) with collectd.
  i would like to sibmit the data to a remote server (internet) and not at
  home. but with a dynamic ip, it's impossible...

- some sort of security, maybe a PSK and a MD5 about the network packet,
  to avoid someone submitting false data (just an idea on the 23C3,
  no proof of concept or netcat tests done yet)
