[collectd] Interested in doing a workshop kind of contributor meetup?

Hi Florian,

Surely a big thanks for helping organizing this. Looking forward for the meetup and discussion.
We (from Intel side) are flexible on the location and time of the meetup. Provided feedback through the survey link.

The important topic of interest from our side is about moving to time based release.
Onboard with Matthias on discussing the suggested topics. The only other topics to add on is about "code owners" & CI.

This is surely a good progress in bringing together the community.
Hope to accelerate going ahead.

Thanks,
Sunku Ranganath

Thank you Florian for putting this up!

Since we're targeting early next year, we might also think of co-locating this with FOSDEM in Brussels (if that's an option?), as it might enable folks to combine travels?

Thoughts?

Topics for the meetup I would imagine are:

- review guidelines for reviewing code
- what are groups doing? presentations of involved projects?
- next big(ger) changes requested/planned for development
- ramping up interested persons
- discussion on changing the release model? feature-based vs. time-based releases?
- ...

Best,
Matthias
