[collectd] tail plugin to send log message

Team,

I planning to use tail plugin to send the complete log message to output
plugin. With my current understanding, only list of values can be submitted
to write plugins and strings are not supported as value types.
Is tail plugin already supported to send log message?
Any there mechanisms available to send strings?

Actually i am planning to write a new plugin and extend current
infrastructure to meet my requirements.
