Has any one been able to build 5.2.2 on ubuntu 12.04 with the perl
plugin? I have the current libperl-dev package installed.
There is an issue here: https://github.com/collectd/collectd/issues/310
Just wondered if anyone had some insight on this

From my configure attempts:
configure --enable-perl --with-libperl
perl . . . . . . . . no (needs libperl)
In config.log:
configure:21710: checking for libperl
configure:21737: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE
-DDEBIAN -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -fstack-protector

-L/usr/lib/perl/5.14/CORE -lperl -ldl -lm -lpthread -lc -lcrypt
