[collectd] Collectd in ram syncing with hdd

Wouldn't a cron job firing once an hour to copy them to the flash drive, 
and then another init script to copy them back on boot accomplish this?

I'm not familiar with OpenWRT (I use Tomato, and not with collectd) so 
I'm not sure whether it provides those features.  I don't believe 
there's anything built into collectd itself to accomplish this.
