sorry, I missed your emails. I've implemented the "DeleteSocket" option
for the UnixSock plugin in the mean time: If set to true, the UnixSock
plugin will call unlink(2) before trying to create the socket -- much
like your original patch.

If you or Sebastian (or anybody else ;) feel that the plugin should
check that the file is actually a socket before deleting it, be my
guest. But I believe that this configurable solution fits most needs.
