[collectd] cpu stats on SMP machines

Doug,

I've just tested the latest collectd-master.tar.gz on two
FreeBSD 7.2 machines.

amd64   -T passes, runs and collects data for 2 cores
i386    -T fails, cpu plugin won't load (4 core hardware)
