Great, hopefully I can followup with some enhancements soon-ish.

Same here, I've come across the approach in the past but never used it  
myself before this plugin.  Open to any suggestions of course.

I'll add it to one of the build systems so we get some coverage, been  
meaning to do that for other plugins too.
