[collectd] Problem with wrapping interface and custom counters

Hello,
is there any way to force collectd to give NaN when wrapping a counter
(basically work like DERIVE datasouce in rrdtool) or use DERIVE instead of
COUNTER when i fetch data via exec plugin ? I have problem with things like
ppp connections and VPNs who generate big spike in RRD files everytime
connection reconnects, same with custom data collectors ive use via exec
plugin (basically, from time to time counter resets and again, big spike in
rrd datafile)
