[collectd] rrdcached setup anyone?

Hello list,

just wondering if anyone is running a rrdcached based setup.

rrdcached is only capable of updating existing files, so how do I create
those files on my central server (running collection3.cgi) ?

right now I´m doing an initial copy from all my client rrd-files to my
central server, but this is not practical if you´re using a plugin like
tcpconns.

how is it supposed to work?
