Sebastian's patch changes the `configure.in', so that the configure
script needs to be re-generated after applying it. This will - hopefully
- happen automatically. I therefore suspect a bug or incompatibility in
your version of the autotools. What version of `automake' and `autoconf'
do you have installed?
