it's a bug and mentioned in the FAQs, as Michael already pointed out.
(I've updated the entry since I noticed the old one was talking about
``future versions'' which wasn't quite up to date.. Just in case you
wonder about the different text.)

I'll add this to the manpage though, since I think (and certainly hope)
that that's the first place people will look for this information ;)
