[collectd] Filter subsystem: Built-in target `write': Dispatching value to all write plugins failed with status -1.

I remember having this problem too, but I can't remember exact fix, Check the ownerships of the rrd files. If rrdcache is running as non-root, and collectd is running as root, you will get these messages too. Possible that it went away when I did a 5.03 to 5.4 update.

my syslog is full of messages like:

From time to time, messages like:

failed:
/var/lib/collectd/rrd/backup.kbu.freifunk.net/df-root/df_complex-reserved.rrd:
illegal attempt to update using time 1401834586 when last update time is
1401834586 (minimum one second step)
