[collectd] collectd alerting advice ?

Hy all,

we are using collectd in network mode.
collectd deamon are sending metrics to a central collectd server which
itself drops metrics in rrd files and elasticsearch database (for test
purpose for now).

i was wondering how to triggger threshold regarding collectd metrics on the
central server ?
is it possible to achieve that ?
if so , any advices are welcome :)
if not, what is the best architecture for this kind of goal ?
