[collectd] tail plugin. how to reset counters

Hi. I was using tail plugin to count how many times a pattern ocurr in a
file, I'm using CounterInc and works fine. My question is.. how can I
reset  the counter by hand?

I try rrdupdate but the plugin will overwrite my value with its current
one, the only solution found was restart colletcd..

Any idea?
