Config: The client-list comes from the `multi' module, which I don't
use; I'm using a simple point-to-point setup.

I only get the basic statistics (anything up to and including `Auth read
bytes') and the statistics provided by the LZO module:

 OpenVPN STATISTICS
 Updated,Sat Jan 10 13:38:39 2009
 TUN/TAP read bytes,40890145
 TUN/TAP write bytes,263550002
 TCP/UDP read bytes,176683637
 TCP/UDP write bytes,46685004
 Auth read bytes,263551082
 pre-compress bytes,19441208
 post-compress bytes,18400792
 pre-decompress bytes,140660826
 post-decompress bytes,243595819

I think the TUN/TAP and TCP/UDP stats are sufficiently handled by the
`interface' and `netlink' plugins. Do you (or anybody else) think the
LZO statistics (such as the compression ratio) are worth collecting?

Yeah, but I think it's okay to leave that to the openvpn(8) manual page
to explain ;)
