Do you know of libacpi [1]? It provides a general purpose interface to
ACPI thermal zones as well as some other ACPI features (battery, fan,
AC). The library supports sysfs and procfs as well. Imho, it might be
worth to use that library and transfer the plugin into a general "acpi"
plugin? What do you think? Do you want to give it a try?
