[collectd] collectd on mac osx

hi,

i had installed several collectd's in the past on diffferent  
architectures. but now i have a problem i can't solve:

i start collectd with "cpu" module enabled: and it crashes (segfault)
Mar 16 15:09:23 server collectd[3737]: cpu-plugin: processor_info  
failed: (os/kern) failure

whenn i start with cpu module disable it doesnt crash. the system is  
a "10.4.8 os x server" running on dual ppc g5. it is actually the  
first collectd i am trying to run on an osx server os.

can anyone help? if it helps i can submit the crashdump report.
