Hi guys,

I've just uploaded 4.0.0-rc4 which includes Sebastian's Perl-plugin
(without the BaseDir-patch, though, since Sebastian and I haven't
reached a consensus yet ;) and a migration script that surely needs a
lot of testing.

The script consists of two parts:
- `extractDS.px', an auxiliary script that extracts one DS of an
RRD-file into a seperate RRD-file. It is used to split up `cpu-0.rrd'
  into `cpu-idle.rrd', `cpu-user.rrd', etc.
- `migrate-3-4.px' searches your data directory (the `-i' option) and
prints a shell-script to STDOUT that should do the migration for you.
You can use the `-o' option to specify a different output directory
than `/tmp/collectd-4' and `--hostname' to set the default hostname to
  something different than `localhost'.
You may still need to do some things by hand:
  - Quote all strings in the config-file.
  - Possibly rename host-directories.
  - Possibly rename the `sensors' directories.
  - Something else? Please tell me!
Please give those scripts a try and see if all the `new' files are
updated by the version 4 daemon. If some files are are orphaned by this
process, please write a bugreport.

Best regards,
-octo
