Sebastian and I recently talked about changing the plugin structure. One
of the things we were thinking about was a `restart' hook in addition to
the `init' and `shutdown' hooks.
Our intention was different, though: We were thinking about reloading
the config file without restarting the daemon, i. e. triggered by SIGHUP
or a similar mechanismn. I think changes in the configuration need to be
detected by the plugin itself. It can then call it's own `init' function
itself or do whatever it takes to adapt to the changed configuration. I
don't see how the daemon could support that process.
