that sounds interesting. I don't know of anyone currently working on
such a plugin, but I've sent a copy of this reply to the mailinglist,
maybe someone will speak up ;)

I'll also have a look at /proc/net/{udp,tcp}{,6}, likely some
interesting information is in those files, too.
