hello All,<br>

I would like to collect data from device that logs a gate activity

through a serial port.<br>

<br>

I have a serial to ethernet converter setup as a client.<br>

When it receives data from the serial port, it can call a host that is

listening on a defined port.<br>

<br>

Can I use collectd to save data in a text file?<br>

<br>

collectd-unisock looks like the way to go, but I'm no programmer and I

am a bit lost reading the man page...<br>
